Ukraine is about to enforce RoHS regulations prohibiting chemical substances in electronic and electrical products

Ukrainian ROHS regulations

The Ukrainian certification system is supervised by the Ukrainian State Committee for Technical Regulation and Consumer Policy (Derzhspozhyvstandard) and the Ukrainian Federal Customs. Mandatory certificates are issued by certification bodies recognized by Derzhspozhyvstandard. Both the original and approved copy of the UkrSEPRO certificate must be provided during customs clearance and domestic sales in Ukraine.

The issuance of UkrSEPRO certificate is based on the technical evaluation of the product, which may include evaluation of technical documents, type testing in accredited laboratories, and factory review.

According to the Ukrainian Certification Standards Regulations, there are over 100 products in Ukraine that require a mandatory UkrSEPRO certificate to enter and be sold in the Ukrainian market, including food, textiles, cosmetics and toys, machinery and electrical products, industrial equipment for food, chemical products, petroleum and gas, construction industry, telecommunications products, transportation vehicles, and other industrial products. According to the regulations of the country, safety and electromagnetic compatibility are listed as regulated items for electrical products
